Wand and crevice tool can go on

Handle goes together

And fitted

Post motor diffuser washed up well, and got refitted

Bin on

And she is done!

But how does she work?

Was it worth it? Well I was questioning my sanity even as I carried it home, but I think so, it sold in minutes for £40, which was nice, and gave me a chance to predict the future in the after video! But as Ryevac says, the problem with these things is when you need to spend money on them, then they very quickly become not worth it. Had this needed a filter, it would have gone to the tip, or back to the skip it came from late at night!

To be fair, those tragic Vax machines often have some pretty decent Chinese motors in them. We have been known to repurpose the odd one to repair real vacuum cleaners.

I just looked up the Chinese company on the motor and they are a proper outfit. They claim to make 7m vacuums a year. I bet they manufacture Vax for Vax.  :-X

Edit: Just watched the video, erm... future classic?  :biglaugh:

You never know! They won't be saved, so finding a running one in 30 years. I mean, people collect Dysons, they were mass produced plastic junk once! Your Hoover 725, in the 50's it would have been rag and bone man fodder for most people...

Tenuous I know, and I'm not keeping one to find out, but someone may be as excited about one as the current crop of young collectors are about Henry vacs and shark stick vacs
