DC25 and DC18 Opinions?
« on: September 20, 2010, 09:51:42 pm »
Hi

What do you guys think of the DC18 & 25?

We get a few DC18's in for undercarriage replacements but I think its a really good machine, I like its looks, sort of futuristic retro scifi

I have one my self and we also use a few as loan vacuums.

I also like the DC25 but find its capacity a bit on the small side, A bit of a :censored: to work on though! Its a big improvement on the DC15

Do you think Dyson should make a bigger capacity ball model?

Same here. Most of our DC18 repairs are undercarriage replacements.

HI
Every time I have dc18's come in for under carrage work I always find that something was sucked up like a pen or something and it gets stuck in the unit that changes over from carpet the tools.
When the customer then presses the handle release to carry on vacuuming it jams the unit and the little pin that does the changing over snaps off .
If this makes any sense to you , I must post pictures ;D

I bought the DC25 for my wife for Christmas.

My impressions...

Setup was such a breeze. The packaging and manuals (IE - Picture guide) makes it really easy to setup. Out of the box, we were testing the vacuum in 10 minutes.

We tried the vacuum on 2 very, very tiny area rugs. These rugs were not really dirty (at least in my mind it wasn't) as it had been vacuumed recently.

I could not believe just how much dust we got out of these two tiny little area rugs. It was mind blowing. I took photos and was posting it on Facebook and emailing friends.

This is a really nice vacuum. I was skeptical that it was worth the money, but it really does work well. Just over 2 months later, and it still is working really well.
