DC40 won’t stay stood upright HELP ??

Hi wonder if anyone can help or advise. Our DC 40 will not stay upright anymore . I have stripped the attachments off and took wheels apart to view internal mechanisms and the hoover seams to stand up ok then but when I attach mainly the hose etc back on it falls back in its own . It’s like it will stand fine without the handle. But attach the handle etc back and it slowly falls back, Like it’s too heavy . Any advice in what may have worn , happy to replace myself .
