did a cable replacement recently and heard a rattling in the triangle handle took the rest of the handle off and pic below fell out. hole is threaded about 3/4 inch long didnt take bottom off but wondered if u new where it came from???

i believe that slots into the bottom of the triangle profile, and effectively is the nut for the screw you removed.
Quite common for people to do what you have done.

Exactly that. I've just had the same thing. It's the threaded bolt for the handle-retaining screw
