DC05 Extension Pole....again

Hi there,

I have an aluminium DC05 extension pole that is leaking air at the middle (the catch that lets the arm move up and down). When you put your hand over the end you can hear the air escaping out of the join and it affects the overall suction.

I assume it could just be a rubber seal but I can't for the life of me see how to get the plastic to separate (well without breaking it that is!) so I can take a closer look

Can anyone offer any help?
