Hi All.
My recent purchase of a replacement motor for a DC07 found at the roadside brought me here. You know how it is, you're driving along on the way to buy a used lintel and you spot a Dyson by the side of the road waiting to be picked up by the bin men. My first thought was the tools may fit my recently bought 'diy' use DC19 that was cheap but only came with a hose a crevice tool. I stopped and picked it up on the way back from buying the lintel. It was in really good condition so I assumed that the motor had failed or some such thing. It had all the tools and in a carrier bag was a genuine turbo brush. Anyhow I checked it out and yes the motor had failed, the commutator was worn away so I ordered a few parts from MV and washed all the plastics. Rebuilt it's very good and seem well built. I also have a knackered (blown motor) blue and white DC02, 2x DC01s, a DC19, a Kirby G4 and a Vax Mach Air (?). I bought a cheap faulty DC41 last night but haven't yet decided whether it's worth fixing.
Steve.
