DC41 Wand
« on: October 27, 2018, 12:48:43 pm »
Hi.

Does anyone know what holds the red plastic part on the end of the aluminium tube? On the cheapie Dc41 I picked up it's not attached and seems a loose fit.

Thanks.

Most things like this are on Beko's strip down topics, in this case >>here<<.

The DC41 wand is glued together on the plastic dark grey pole and red upper part.

Thanks for the info Parwaz.

Beko doesn't separate the red top from the pole so that's why I asked. I'm wondering if I should just buy a replacement.

The DC41 does seem to clean well but feels flimsy if you know what I mean? Mainly that they will crack at the bottom of the spine (mines now fibreglassed) and a good bash of the head will kill it.

Steve.

I think they’re brilliant machines, The flexible is so  that it can withstand bumps and bashes, try bending the chassis of an older Dyson and it’ll crack. With a newer one they just have more flex to reduce the cracking.

They certainly clean well but as I said the base on the one I bought had cracked right through and the air passages had cracks in them too. Could be it had been abused. Anyhow I've got my hands on a DC25 and a DC08 that both need work so I've ordered more stuff from MV. This will be the second motor I've bought (for a different Dyson!), the delivery seems quick and ordering easy.

I’m still on the lookout for a box so I can send it to MV.
