Hi and Happy New Year.
I found you through Google. We have a 5 year old Dyson DC40 Animal, just out of warranty. The brush bar was starting to play up, went through the Dyson page but didn't solve the issue. Typed in something like Dyson DC40 brush bar not turning. Found this forum with a thread from beko1987 that was most helpful.

Hi there
Typed into google
dc25 motor problem.
Saw MV Vacs forum.......hoping I can get it sorted through the forum and your guidance.
Main Motor making a lot of noise, roller bar not working.
Stripped it all out and cleaned everything, belt fine, wires intact, put back together.
Still lot of noise and decided not to run it too much in case it makes it worse.
May have to take ball out and see if something has broking off ?
Any advice would be great.
Bob

Searching using Firefox - for Dyson DC25 tear down/ assembly. Got search return for Beko1987 on the site, great walkthru - saved my vac! Was a vacuum I'd bought used for 50 dollars ( Canadian). Had torn down to clean as was filthy, did not even want to touch or work on it so dirty.  Put in a power switch and new cord and it ran like a dream. Once I'd got it put back together properly re Beko. It is great the info that is shared on the site!

Hey Guys,

I am Micheal Steward. I have decided to buy a vacuum cleaner. As this would be my first purchase and I want to make it perfect. I have joined this forum to learn about vacuum cleaners and their part, and their maintenance.

Thanks

Hi Michael, welcome!

You are asking a very vast question though, the answer to which depends on many things! What have you been looking at so far? What flooring do you have?
