Foam rings from DC41 MKll
« on: January 02, 2019, 05:43:07 pm »
Hi All
New here so thanks for accepting me.
Got a DC41 MKll which has lost 2 little foam rings from it.I think they came from the flexible tube.
Lost one a while ago and found another this week after a semi strip down to clean the head
Trying to get a pic of them but need to shrink file size down

Seem to have a loss In suction to the extent Mums DC07 now pulls up more than the DC41 does

Can I get the rings on their own or is a whole new part required

Many thanks for any help

They sound like the seals that fit inside the hose. Getting them back in without stripping the machine down will be a faff, although it'll need stripping to fit a new hose.

If you can get at it, a drop of superglue at the back of the seal then push them in should do it...

Assuming that's where they came from of course...

Many thanks Sir

Think ive sussed them
One from top of wand it appears and one from top of hose
Tried superglue but no sticky.
As its about time for a new hose anyway guess it comes prefitted
Also maybe new filter and brush time. Its about 3 or 4 years old I think and gets used and sometimes abused

Much appreciated Beko1987

The DC07 is the dyson with the most amount of suction. I belive no other dyson has the same amount of suction as teh dc07 and that the dc07 was the machine with the most amount of suction of all dysons.
