DC41/43 not staying upright. There is nothing stuck in any of the tubing as the vacuum sucks as good as new. Is there a latch or something that locks it in the upright position that could be broken? If so, how do I access it to fix it? Thanks in advance!!

You’ll need to take the vacuum’s ball apart for this- but the yolk assembly has a metal pin which corresponds with the upright lock mechanism and it slides downwards into the lock position

So, I fixed my DC41/43. It now locks in the upright position. The part number was DY-920705-01 for the Upright Lock. Had to remove the yoke assembly to replace the latch. Took about 30 minutes from start to finish.
