I worked in industrial electronics and instrumentation and then moved into tv, video and audio repair,  part retired now but i was asked to help out at a local shop repairing electrical items, theres quite a few vacs coming in to be gone over and moved on to new homes. I'm no expert with the vacs but i can seem to find my way around them, its just figuring out the best places for spares...

exactly same as myself Rob.
I moved out of self employment last november to a factory type job, building self service terminals mainly... i moved as i needed the security.
Still do a bit of aerial, satellite, Tv repair, in fact anything electronic is my addiction as well as amateur radio

Are or were you on TMF television magazine forum / euras ?

I was self employed for best part of 30 years but elderly parents who needed looking after in their nineties bought that to an end, i'd had a skin full of it anyway. I did the radio ham exams when i was in my teens but i dont really have any gear anymore, i build an ssb tranceiver a few years back just for the fun of it. I was on one of the tv forums a few years back but not sure which one now, i gave a load of sets of tv servicing magazines away last year to make some room.
