DC25 switch button
« on: February 24, 2019, 04:50:56 pm »
Please see the attached photo . There is a metal piece attached that I have not seen in other photos or posts. It makes it difficult to reassemble. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I cannot seem to find the Actuator Arm anywhere to purchase.

Also, it is not clear to me how it fits together. Does anyone have a diagram for how the actuator arm goes in?

I am new to this, and whilst I have replaced the switches, I cant seem to get the actuator arm to go in, so have left it out. I suspect this means that if my Dyson sucks up a sock, I will not be able to reset it withouttaking it apart. >:(

Thanks Ryevac.

Alas, the Actuator Arm does not seem to be in your pictures. It is the metal actuator arm that I cannot find a home for (see the original post by Turk).

I have now found a diagram that features it on another site, but it is still not clear to me how it fits together.... Was hoping for a photo of it in situ.

It also does not seem available to buy anymore...

I didn't think the 25 had that metal piece you describe ?

Stu Mvacs / David should be able to confirm whether it has or not

It certainly does have it, although perhaps not all DC25s....?

I have found a schematic on a US site that even identifies it:
