I want to replace the pre-motor filter: in shape,  a small rectangular box with zigzag
material inside like a cartridge filter. Apparently B&D are guilty of planned obsolescence
& have discontinued it. Please any advice? Would it make sense to get another type of
cartridge & cut it up & glue the zigzag into the box? Thank you.

Not sure what your filter looks like but i have made filters using this Bissell lift off type to make a cartridge filters for obselite machines.
