Other cordless brands
« on: May 23, 2019, 07:08:23 pm »
Hey,
Does any of you ever heard of or tried different cordless vacuum cleaner brands apart from Shark, Vax or Hoover?
I've seen some opinins about Swan which is a big surprise to me as I didn't even know they were making vacuum cleaners.

Also some people are claiming that this one is really good, and some even that it's better than V8

I'm kinda tempted to try it out.

We've never had to replace a battery on one of those actually that I recall.

That price!  :o  I think we sell new machines for £185.

I have a Tineco S12. I got given it to review. It's not too bad, right until after 2/3 rooms the filter's got such a thick layer of crap on it the thing thinks its clogged and cuts out.

I mentioned and showed this in my review, thay've not spoken to me since... It needs to be boxed back up and put at the back of the loft for another day when I get 5 minutes. I'd take a v8 any day, yes their more plasticky and basic but the worst you'll get is the filter filling up internally every year or so...

I think the Athlet is one of the best cordless sticks you can buy. Obviously it’s not particularly agile when it comes to above floor cleaning but if you just want it for daily cleaning of your floors, they’re probably the best thing out there.
Saying that, I have recently acquired a Hoover Velocity cordless full size upright, and for the price, £80-odd, it’s not bad at all, but I would not recommend their other cordless cleaners one bit. Vax seem a little better but would still not recommend. I had a Shark cordless last year and had nothing but trouble with it and overall it was rather lousy.
Generally speaking if your cordless is just for quick cleaning of floors (which it should be!) then the Bosch is probably the best thing out there!
