Hi there,
I am currently a bit stuck with what could be wrong with this DC25, when powering on the, brush bar works for a second or 2 and then stops.
I have checked and replaced the yoke loom
I have also swapped the head unit over with another working head and still the same.
What's the next port of call to hopefully rectify this?
Any help would be much appreciated :)
Thanks in advance  ;)

Either the main head switch or trip switch in spine, they are both to the left of the power switch.

I have attached a couple of pics, the trip switch with the red shaft does fail, as does the normal switch with it's latching function.
You may find if you press and hold the switch firmly, the head motor may stay on.

there is another switch, on the axis point under the side housing, its a micro switch. My bet is either of the 2 switches pictured.

Good stuff, glad it helped.
They are getting on a bit now the 25's.
That fault on the switches can be caused by a slowly failing head motor too, had it where i sorted the switch and then head motor failed a month later.
I always now tell customer that fact, and if head motor never been touched i recommend it is replaced too as a precaution.

Then the yoke loom fails....
