Dyson DC50 won’t stay upright
« on: June 16, 2019, 12:03:27 am »
Hi

Could anyone possibly help with an issue I have. My DC50 just won’t stay upright for love nor money, I have to balance it against a wall to get it to stay up. I have now had enough and decided to strip it down but I can’t see any obvious broken parts and there are definitely no blockages in the switchover hose and the switchover hose appears to move properly, the stabiliser drops down as it should but when it’s own weight is applied, the stabiliser quickly shoots back up as though it’s weak.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Dave

Have you checked the small red internal hose at the back is attached properly at both ends?
