Hello,
I've been here for some time. Got here sometime after I bought the most expensive vacuum cleaner in my life which was Dyson Ball Animal 2. It was in January and since then I literally can't stop thinking about vacuum cleaners.
I just want to have the best vacuum cleaner that's gonna be easy to use and will clean my house nicely.
My partner keeps telling me that I need a counselling as I'm 25 years old and I should be doing different things than reading about vacuum cleaners.
Have any of you guys feel the same or have I really lost my mind?
For many reasons I sold Ball Animal 2 and got cordless V8 together with Miele C2 Compact. It doesn't really stop me from thinking if this is the best I can have. I would like to try Sebo Felix but it would be a complete craziness to buy it wouldn't it?  Or maybe I should return V8 as I still can and get Felix  :whist11:

There isn't a best vacuum. It's all about what matches your requirements. For example a kirby vacuum is VERY powerful at cleaning carpets and has a ton of airflow. It can do anything other vacuums can do and more, such as being a carpet shampooer and blower for example. This is what loads of Americans swear as being the best vacuum.

However, others may argue they are heavy, bulky, loud, a pain in the ass to use and outdated along with looking vintage. They could also say a Dyson is better because they have better hose suction, are quieter, are bagless (bagged vs bagless is another debate), have a way more sophisticated, convenient design, look better and have better filtration.

Many Brits also swear that Henry vacuums are the best because they are indestructible, can suck up anything from fine dust, to large clumps of tissue, rubble, *anything that fits through the hose*, are quiet, don't use a high wattage, never lose suction, have a huge bag capacity, the list goes on.

In contract, others may say Henry stinks due to dust and dirt festering and rotting in the fabricated bag which absorbs the odour so you'll have to change the bag regardless of how empty/full it is, it doesn't clean carpets properly, it's top heavy and falls over, etc.

So TBH it's trial and error, try whatever you like, don't always listen to other people's opinions on the best vacuum, because everyone is different.

The moral: Try out different machines and form your own opinion

I quite like upright Oreck machines ok they dont have hoses unless you purchase the cylinder version but the brush rollers are of decent quality good bushy bristles so what they lack in suction the brush bar makes up for. They are light weight to carry so are popular with the elderley very easy to work on, Im surprised none of our friends from the states dont mention them much.

There isn't a best vacuum.

I beg to differ.  ;D

There is the now discontinued Sebo X4 Pet Boost in black.

I can list several disadvantages of one of these over a Dyson :grinn:   I do still like my X4 pet boost though but I'd rather have a Dyson personally ;D
