Miele C2 Compact
« on: June 28, 2019, 09:09:25 am »
So I sold Miele S6 that I got from eBay for the same price that I paid and I kept turbo brush  :grinn: :whist11:
I got Miele C2 Compact for 109£ from Miele's outlet

It's brand new, not a single scratch it only had a damaged box.
I must say that there's a difference in suction between S6 and C2. But it's much quieter so it's better I'd say.

We should've bought it long time ago when we bought Hoover Capture. But Mieles were so expensive, now I know why.

We've used it only for two days but I can say that it's a good purchase. Although I'm a bit disappointed that they have changed tools. Dusting brush has different, worse bristles and upholstery tool has many holes for some strange reason.
Anyone of you has this machine? Are you happy with it?

So I kept old turbo brush but I'm not really sure if it works as it should with this new Miele. Basically when I move it on the floor it gets really quiet like the brush roll wasn't spinning
This is the model

New machine will be 900w max. Old one will have been more so more suction on the tool.

Well I think that this old model of turbo brush doesn't work very well with my newer model as it sometimes takes 3 passes to get rid of hair from my black carpet.
I guess I'm gonna start using Airteq cause it's probably gonna be the same.

I know I've said it before but it's really surprising that when I was vacuuming Ball Animal 2 the bin was really full and Miele's bag after couple of uses seems empty.
I know it's probably because Dyson had motorized brush roll and Miele has only straight suction.

Do you guys know which model of turbo brush is designed for lower wattage models?
I can find STB 205-2 and STB 205-3 and I don't really know what's the difference.
Or would the newest Turboteq be the best?

So in the end I bought TurboTeq. And so far I'm really impressed. It works better than older brush. Really sticks to the carpet but it's easier to push than straight suction tool. I always use it on the MAX setting.
I'm a little bit worried as there's no easy way to clean but I'm hoping that it's not gonna get really dirty.

I also got a mini turbo tool from my old Hoover. It is extremely loud when I use it with Miele. I was just wondering, do you guys think that Miele's mini turbo brush would be any better? It looks pretty much the same.

Hi, I cant give you a direct answer but I made a quick video comparing the noise it makes on my Miele S5981.
For comparison I use the Turbo Comfort vs Turbo Mini vs nothing on the end.

Please excuse the video quality - done using an old camera with a good mic in manual audio mode.

Unfortunately youtube compressed the audio quite severely (thats level compression not mp3/aac compression) so here is a direct download of the original file:

Personalty I think it's still very loud when compared to the normal turbo head but keep in mind this is a 2200w machine.

Hope this helps,
Cheers.

Thank you!
To me it's louder than bigger brush  :underchair:
I guess I'm gonna carry on using the mini brush that came with Hoover

Your welcome.  Yeh, the small turbo head is much louder and I think it's due to the very small port in front of the blades (ref image).

The big brush has a much larger port.

Cheers.

Another disappointment. I was vacuuming my stairs when I accidentally hit the step.

Besides I literally vacuum every day and bag just seems empty..  :'(
How long do they last for?  :o

I've been actually accused of intentionally breaking the tool.
My steps are kinda weird, they have sharp things sticking out of them.
Anyway, my point is that I've used many upholstery tools and none of them never broke like Miele's. They always scratch but never break.

I've got a video to show what I mean when I say sharp things. It's literally on each step.

I never knew that someone could be addicted to buying vacuum cleaners  :underchair:
Got another C2. It's a 1200W model. As always with new vacuum, I'm amazed. I think it's better than Sebo E1, it's smaller and lighter even with the tools and floor head.

It's got better dusting brush, better upholstery tool that can be easily cleaned and I think it's got tighter fits  than E1.
I'm probably gonna get annoyed with tools on the clip. Something that E1 is better at.
