Motor filter cage
« on: July 15, 2019, 10:09:22 am »
Hello, I have a Miele S5281 vacuum cleaner.

I need to replace the broken blue plastic motor filter housing that sits at the back of the inside.

How to I remove it?

I can see that the bottom of the housing is held in by black plastic lugs.

Do I need to take the cleaner apart to slide the old unit out?

Or can I ( with the help of a bladed screwdriver) prise the unit out and clip a new unit back it place?

Thanks very much.

Hi MPS, the top needs to come off and the filter holder assembly slides out, look here:

Scroll down a bit past half way.

Disassemble video:

Cheers.
