SEBO Felix Vogue
« on: July 29, 2019, 11:48:31 am »
So my partner's sister bought a Felix on eBay. Second hand one. I ordered it for her. It came in pristine condition, clean inside dust compartment, fitted with genuine bag.

I vacuumed our house just to see if everything is alright with it..
Excellent suction. Brushroll in pristine condition too.
I've bought new motor protection filter as apparently it's supposed to be changed every two years and the cleaner is two years old.
Is there anything else I should look at?

My biggest concern is that it blows really hot air even straight after turning on. It gets hotter with every minute. So basically while vacuuming stairs or sofa it really blows on you. I was sweating.

It doesn't seem to be as good as Ball Animal 2 on hard floors. But maybe it's just a matter of adjusting the cleaner head's height.

Well, I kinda like it. Apart from hot air blowing on me. Maybe I should replace my Miele  :underchair: :underchair: :-\

A very capable machine.

As long as the bag is recent I'd not be too concerned about it seeming hot.

Does it need changing? The cleaner is only 2 years old and the lady in John Lewis' store told us that it would needed to be changed every five years but it's absolutely filthy  :o :(

So basically there's only a difference in colorsif it's about exhaust filters, right?
Why do some cost so much and some are cheap? Are they more popular I suppose?

We've ordered filter in Navy as well as bags from Sebo's website. Wish it didn't take so long to deliver though.

All you had to do with that exhaust cover is wash it.

No matter..........

Everything costs more than it could do on Amazon as it costs 20% of the order total to sell there. Why private sites are often cheaper.

Seriously? I could just wash it  :'( :'( :'(
Oh well, hopefully it's gonna perform better than after washing  :duh:
You don't sell exhaust filters, do you? Unless I'm blind

We sell everything if someone wants it.

As it says on our Felix spares page:

If you don’t see what you need on this page, please >>contact us<< to ask. We probably have it.

We tend not to list exhaust filters on the site for Felix machines as nobody buys them because they get washed instead if they are ever taken off.

When we service a Felix, washing that filter with the hot pressure washer is one of the things it gets.

Oh well, my partner's sister doesn't like it as it's heavy for her and hot air really annoys her while vacuuming stairs.
So we're gonna swap. She's getting Miele C2, good as I was disappointed with it.
And we're gonna keep Sebo  :whist11: ;)

I'm still trying to get use to it. I must say, it is harder to push than Ball Animal 2. Cleaning the cleaner head helps, but it gets dirty with every use.
I vacuum on setting 1 in my whole house without the warning light.
I'm kinda happy that it blows hot air as I'm always cold in winter  :biglaugh:
I ordered a tool adapter from your Amazon page so I could connect my Hoover's mini turbobrush with it.
And what is the best. I've texted SEBO about dusting brush and told them that it would be more useful for me than crevice tool and they sent me one for free  :icon_nod:
Not the matching color but still. Unexpected and really nice.

Another bargain, this time from Cash Converters  :coffee:
Some people would say that I've lost my mind buying vacuum cleaners that I sell in the end anyway, but this one was 30£ plus 7 genuine bags!
It's a 1300W model.
The exhaust filter was extremely dirty though. Same with pre motor filter despite the genuine bag inside. I've already replaced pre motor filter as it was literally caked in dust.
I tried to wash the exhaust filter but now it stinks while vacuuming. It's a kinda dampy smell. I also broke the plastic thing on the filter while taking it off.
I can't really tell how old it is but definetely none of the filters have ever been changed. Same with the brushroll that to be honest doesn't look worn I'd say. It's still really stiff.
It is quite hard to push it though and as I read it might be caused by the old brushroll. Not gonna lie, it's giving me a backache   :-X
Would you guys suggest replacing it? Is the non genuine one as good as genuine?

The suction is definitely much stronger than on 700W Vogue. It doesn't get that much hot if not used on MAX power.
I had to open the powerhead though as the brushroll OFF/ON button was pressed in.
I manged to fix it but I'm not sure if it all looks alright here.

I don't get a warning light on any height on my carpets. Does it mean that I can use it on any height?

Is the height adjuster actually working?

That brushroll looks OK to me.

I'm not sure, how to check if it's working?
I tired looking at the brushroll but it doesn't move or anything when I change the setting

The plastic wheel behind the brush roll would move up and down when the dial is turned.

Oh well, it doesn't work then as the wheel doesn't move at all  :duh:
Can it be easily fixed or would I need some expensive part?
