Issues with Dyson DC 39 (Blue)
« on: August 16, 2019, 03:01:33 AM »

We own a Dyson DC39 (blue) vacuum cleaner and have been experiencing the following ongoing issues:

1) There is poor suction when using both the trigger head attachment and the articulating hard floor attachment, especially the latter.

2) The trigger head spins but does not respond to the grey push button to stop the brushes spinning when wanting to change from carpet to hard surface cleaning.

3) The brushes of the trigger head hardly spin or stop spinning at all when using on carpet.

I have checked for blockages and the filter has been cleaned. If anyone has any guidance on how to address these issues that would be great as my wife is on by back to buy a new vacuum which ain't cheap lol. Thanks for your help.

I'd take it somewhere competent and have it serviced.

The trigger head may need replacing, but you won't know till its stripped down and checked.

And how has the filter been cleaned? Rinsing it under the tap as Dyson suggest is next to useless. It'll want washing properly (in a washing machine we do), or replacing.
