how to remove the handle of my dyson?
« on: August 18, 2019, 11:51:10 am »
Hi everybody,

One week ago, I tried to disassemble the bin of my dyson.
But at the last step, I need to remove the handle to reach the last torx screw.
Can anyone help me?

In the attached image, I surrounded what I need to remove.

Thanks a lot,

Lourix

I think they are so new that not many people have worked on them yet.

However, handles like that usually come off with a few Torx screws. Are there visible screws?

Yes, I see two Torx screws but I can't remove the red push button...
(the Torx screws are below the button).

Usually the red buttons just clip out, usually by inserting a screwdriver underneath the front of the main button, and sharply levering up. This does come with a significant amount of danger though so proceed with caution... If you do get it off, it'll just push down and clip into place, remembering any springs that are under it.

Also, there's not a screw underneath the top of the cyclone is there? I've seen that before, and that's a full cyclone stripdown to get to.

Others have 2 screws on the back, then you have to unclip the front and slide it back whilst manhandling the handle. I'd need to see a picture from the top though to really know.
