Miele S718 cutting in and out

Hi all

I'm hoping someone can help me with this. Our old Miele S718 has recently started misbehaving. On the higher power settings the motor cuts in, and then a moment later seems to cut out again. This cycle repeats. On lower settings it seems to run normally. See the video on youtube

This video was with the bag & filters in place, but it's the same without bag/filter. I've stripped it right down and it still does the same without the case etc. There's nothing obviously wrong (no blockages or burnt-looking areas) with either the motor, the circuit board attached to the motor (the motor protection module?), or the circuit board the control the power level.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the issue might be? I can buy a new motor

Sorry for the delay, but I had a Miele with the same issue and a new PCB had it working again!
