DC07 wand won't lock onto hose
« on: August 22, 2011, 05:34:10 pm »
The aluminium tube (wand?) on my DC07 no longer locks onto the hose, it slips right  through.  The collar assembly maybe came apart while my wife was using it and a bit might be missing.  I cannot find an exploded drg of the collar.  The hose clicks into this collar and can be removed quite easily.   Can I get a collar assembly or must I get a new hose assembly?  The hose itself is fine.

Inside the collar are two tiny coil springs that activate the plastic lock that locks the hose to the wand when you pull it down, it is normally very difficult to seperate the collar hose assembily so yours might have a hair line crack.

I think you will have to get a new hose
