yes if you work it like that but then compare other Dyson prices to what they sell for in the UK ,
It will probably be much cheaper in the UK , about half that infact.
Dyson machines are generally much cheaper in the UK than in the rest of the world.

THE DC 41
In Australia it is only $50.00 more expensive that a dc25 hepa plus
In the USA it is only $100 more expensive than a standard dc25
working on that I recon at the most about £ 400.00
still cheaper than a dc25 in south Africa

Ye gods! You are right!  :o

The DC39 Animal is $949 Aussie Dollars! That is £625, $1000 US Dollars, 710 Euros or for our pal in SA, 7000 Rand!  :o

Proof here:

How on earth can they justify that price?

They are not out in the UK yet, but as soon as they are, I bet we could courier them to Australia and give the Aussies a great saving!  :evilgrin0002:

We were selling new 14's for £165 a few months ago. I got a small batch of those blue ones you like. I wish I could get more of them.

There is a larger "Ball" than the DC25 already - the DC15. A proper serious machine!  :icon_nod:

The DC15 seems far better built to me than the DC25 or DC24.

Sorry Mike I don't agree, the dc 15 is also no longer available new,
I have both the dc25 ,24 and 15 and the 25 is by far the more superior machine in terms of cleaning ability and build quality.

The dc15 is a nice machine but it was also the first attempt , the suction power on hard floors is not very good and even on carpets it is outcleaned by the dc25.

The dc15 was never sold in SA but allot of people brought them here when immigrating. we regularly have them in our shop for repair. the dc25 is one of the best selling Dyson's in SA and we hardly ever see them except for when someone has sucked up something they shouldn't have.

The dc25 also feels far more sturdy when you are using it compared to the 15.

I can't wait for the dc41 as my only gripe with the dc25 is that the container is to small

YES YES YES PLEASE send your Dysons to Australia  :icon_nod: :icon_nod: :icon_nod:

No wonder "Sir" James Dyson is a billionaire!!!!!!!! :angryman:

his company rips off anyone anywhere at anytime for the highest price they can get and Australia is a prime example  :'(  No ethics - just unbridled greed. And they only give Ozzies 2 yr wty and most other places 5yr.  :angryman:

Look at the following comparison done 18 August 2012 -

re the UK prices for DC39 Animal I have even now seen as low as 308 pound (AUD466) with free UK delivery for this unit with 5yr wty on one UK internet website but cheapest internet price in Australia yesterday was AUD$704 + $22 local delivery + $78 3rd party wty upgrade 2->5yrs = AUD$804 (531 pound).  We should be able to get this model in AUS for about $499 even allowing for UK->AUS freight etc.  Of course Indonesia (where I am told these Dysons are made) is just next-door to Australia and the freight from there to AUS would be much LESS than to UK :o
 :o  :angryman:  :(  :'(

Will anyone in the UK "dare" to help us out down here? Or will Dyson cut you off if they start seeing serial numbers from UK wholesale orders appearing in Australia?  Would not UK anti-competitive laws prvent them for so doing? Or can we buy them w/o wty or serial numbers and do our own wty service here? H-E-L-P!

Dyson do not supply us directly with new machines, we get them via a myriad of third parties.

I expect they would invalidate the warranty on what they would class as a grey import. Unless you had um..... brought it with you from the UK.

We would have no difficulty shipping a new one, only the shipping price might be prohibitive. If you know box weight and dimensions of a new one, I can look into that.
