Hi Is it possible to connect two hoses to extend the reach of a DC04? I have a couple of spare hoses and could craft a piece of tube to join the I reckon. Has anyone done this successfully? I don't want to stress the motor etc. thanks

There is no standard method to do this. There is no extension hose designed to do this.

But yes you could easily fashion an extension as long as you want and it would not stress the motor.

Crafting a piece of tube to do what you want with the hose you have is the way forward in your application.

You'd have to make something up to join them but I can't see why not.

I used an old dyson hose to extend a Screwfix wet/dry work vac hose, just used some pipe that fitted inside the hoses and a few jubilee clips to clamp the hoses to the pipe to join them.
