DC 17 Motor wiring???
« on: April 08, 2020, 12:22:52 am »
Greetings from Texas!

My idiot ass took apart my DC17 Animal to replace the motor which had burnt out. *However*, in my haste, I did not get a picture of the motor wiring before I removed everything.  :'( :'( :'( :censored: :censored:

Is there anyone who knows where the wires go?? There are 3 in question. 2 thinner ones (white and black) coming from the same area, and another Thicker white one which is also longer... I'm assuming they are power and switch, I just don't want to burn the new motor by connecting it back up wrong!

any advise/pictures would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm having a hell of a time fining info online...

Once I can post pictures, I will post a pic of the wires in question...

THANK YOU!!!

John

Appreciate the reply, but that is not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for the actual connections to the main motor. I'll see if I can upload the pictures now...

On the motor itself, one side has 2 terminals, and the other side has 1. There are 2 white wires and one black one. Thats what I'm trying to figure out...

Thanks!

Thank you for the effort! I do appreciate it. Hopefully one of those guys will chime in.

I did see a tear-down of a DC 17 on here, there just wasn't a pic of the motor or motor wiring connections....

Thanks again!

OK, Solution found! SUCCESS!

Thanks to Ryevac for helping me find it.

So, to recap: DC 17 Animal US MODEL.

Main motor wiring: one side motor has 1 connector. The black wire goes to that one.

The other side has 2 connectors, the 2 white wires (one smaller than the other) goes to that side. I have attached pictures below.

Glad you’ve found the answer with Ryevac’s help, as noted above this does crop up from time to time but our collective knowledge isn’t so extensive about American models.

Thanks for the clarification photos.

For the benefit of Google so others will easily find this, I’ll note the motor type is UDS1451VNR.
