Sebo X4 dead
« on: April 12, 2020, 03:25:14 pm »
Hi I have an oldish x4 sebo. My wife let out the magic smoke that makes it work. Totally dead motor but live to the blue wires on the pcb  that come down the handle. How Can i test wether its the pcb or motor. What resistance am i looking for across the motor wires i.e. one brush connection to the other ? Is it possible to put a L-N connection straight across the motor to  test run it ?   The brushes look fine and the pcb also ok to a visual inspection ? Any diagnostic trick would be welcome. Thanks Adam

Stu is the sebo man really...
But in a basic diagnostic form, (i haven't done a lot with sebo) if you have mains supply going in to the board and nothing leaving the board via the cables to the motor then pcb could have failed ?

I would connector motor direct to mains test supply to confirm
The only way to fail is not to try.

Yes, connect directly to the motor and see if that works first.
