Sadly the rear wheels for the U1104 type are the hardest to find out of all the Juniors (Sadly, Junior wheels weren’t all the same size!). Unfortunately they are a weak point due to their thin plastic which is not re-inforced like the earlier Junior 1334 etc. So many 1104s show up with damaged rear wheels. One wonders if you could make something to fit- perhaps out of plastic, or hard wood? May not be the most visually pleasing solution but it might make the cleaner useable once more? I have not yet come across anything that uses the same sized wheels as the 1104 but if anyone has any suggestions?
Hi dysondestjl, thanks for your information. The way my wheels both disintegrated at the same time, I'm not surprised to hear so many others have had the same problem.
1334 wheels would fit if I could find a couple of thin sleeves to push onto my Junior's 6.4mm axle to stop any wobble due to the 1334's 8.1mm holes.
Unfortunately the vacuum repair shops that might stock U1104 wheels are still closed during this lockdown, and I can't even raid the local recycling centre for other manufacturer wheels that might fit with slight modification.
If I had a 3D printer I'd definitely have a go at making some!
