The power slider can clip back in, then the top shell and plug cover fitted and snapped down sort of all together

Refit the spring

Reset the pot to full low and fit the slider bar, and set it all up to Low

ila_rendered

Now, we can drop our tied up cord reel in!

ila_rendered

Then fit the cord clamp and spring to the underside of the top, feed the cord in, snip the cable tie and screw the lid down/fit a plug to the flex! I chose a nice, smaller black plug

ila_rendered

Time for the pedal tops

ila_rendered

Then OK, we will refit the bag holders for this cleaner

ila_rendered

Because I have a pack of genuine bags for it!

Even though they are paper...

This took forever as it all sort of slides on together, but apart...

Eventually it all slips together nicely

ila_rendered

The hose inlet seal can go on

ila_rendered

And the hose can be fitted! Well, the end anyway!

ila_rendered

With the bag door fitted it's starting to look like an actual black vacuum cleaner now!

Time to build up the floor head now

ila_rendered

Had to replace the small sealing strip for the pivoting joint

ila_rendered

Pedal and brush assemblies in

ila_rendered

Wand assembled

ila_rendered

Make sure that metal tab goes right back down and it wont go anywhere!

The good one sold fairly quickly, and for a decent amount of money too (can't actually remember now...)

The second one I actually used for a month, and it was good and bad...

I then sold it to a friend of mine (who is on this forum) who I don't think has seen it yet, it's worked it's way from Thame to Grantham for free so far, then Coronavirus hit and it's still in Grantham... Ah well!

It's also got a mega handy way to store itself

But there we are! 2 lovely AEG Blackline 608's, both done and dusted!

Thanks for reading.

Yes, sadly Black Line No.2 has not yet made it’s way to it’s new owner. Who may have totally forgotten about it actually until reading this thread! Must get that sorted after lockdown 🤣

I'm sure it's safe and sound and waiting for you! (or he's left it in the garden since he picked it up from my dad...)
