Wiring Power Cable and Spine Cable to Switch
« on: May 19, 2020, 11:17:23 am »
Hi, I have just bought a replacement power cable for my Dyson DC01.  The cable broke ages ago and I disconnected the old one then.  Looking for help to confirm the connections.  The spine cable has the neutral (blue) wire connected to a white connection box does the blue wire from the power cable connect to the other end of this?  The live wire from the spine cable was connected to the on-off switch with a boot white connector.  I have just purchased a spade connector boot to use for the live wire from the power cable, does this then attach to the second spade on the on-off switch.   Difficult to see in the small diagrams.  Probably a very basic question.  Thanks in advance.

The live goes to the switch, and from the switch onward into the machine.

Blue connects to blue.

It should look like this:
