DC25 Mystery spring!
« on: June 24, 2020, 11:54:36 am »
I stripped my DC25 to component parts for a deep clean as per Beko 1987's super helpful guide. However, AFTER  everything had been washed, reassembled, and tested working I noticed I had this left over spring! I can't recognise where it's from, it's not the brush bar belt tensioner (I visually checked there is a spring in the hole there).

Do you recognise where it's from? It's quite a stiff one

PS. Pen for scale

Solved...

Thr mystery spring was the belt tensioner. Thr spring I'd put in the belt tensioner location was the bin release spring. The bin release spring wasn't replaced. All speings are now correctly fitted.
