Dyson DC41 Animal Broken Release Clip Catch button

I have purchased a replacement Release Clip Release Catch Button DC41 Animal. Has anyone any details on how to replace the part. It is larger than the broken one, and I am not sure on how to manouvere it into place.

If your machine is the older one, you need to replace both parts.

The top one simply clicks in, the bottom one usually requires the cyclone to be stripped down and typically isnt an amateur job. You can see how the cyclone comes apart on Beko's strip down topic >>here<<.
