Replacement pad or HEPA kit for DC07 origin
« on: July 16, 2020, 09:25:52 am »
Hi all,

We've just inherited a DC07 Origin, to replace our trusty DC01 (which now resembles Trigger's broom!).

I'm planning on ordering replacement filters (as I don't know if they've ever been replaced - the post motor pad looks in a sorry state!), but unsure whether to replace with another pad or a HEPA kit.

This site says they're interchangeable, but is paying a couple of quid extra for a HEPA filter a no-brainer?

Does the basic pad have any advantages over the HEPA filter?  Will the HEPA filter do it's proper job in the DC07 Origin (given that it Odidn't come with one in the first place)?

I think the hepa allows less particles of dust to escape, i always in the past asked my customers if anyone in the household had asthma, copd etc... otherwise, if the answer was no then i just fit a basic pad.
The only way to fail is not to try.

Trigger's broom!

 ;D

We tend to fit pads by default, but many people upgrade to a HEPA filter. Personal choice really.

Hi re the Pads or HEPA filter choice for the Dyson DC07, in some Dyson users opinion the pads are kinder on the cleaners motor and do not cause it to work as hard. I fit the pads and renew them annually hoping this leads to a longer motor life. The pads are cheaper and easy to fit but if someone has an allergy the HEPA filters are the recommended ones to fit.      Regards   grahamwin.
