Sebo X7 Pet cutting out

A customer has sent in a Sebo Automatic X7 Pet. It starts okay but after a few seconds both the 'Check Bag' and 'Check Brush' lights come on and the machine cuts out. I have changed the brush, bag, checked and cleaned all the filters, changed the pcb, checked the switch connection in the handle, and generally cleaned the machine from top to bottom, all with the same results. Any ideas or suggestions will be welcome.

Its a very unusual fault. The two lights coming on together is usually a critical fault like the board as you first thought.

Is it always two lights, never just the bag light alone?

If you have ruled out the top PCB, only the other PCB or the belt sensor unit remain.

Thanks for your response. It's always some consolation when you're not the only one that's baffled! It is always both lights. My next step was going to be try the Servo motor. What do you think?

I recall we had an X4 ages ago with this fault, and it ended up being the servo motor.

Its just trial and error really. Its painless if you have access to some parts as you seem to have.

I've just taken over a repair section here in Reading and can get to High Wycombe to pick up spares pretty easily.

Do they have a trade counter there? I've yet to visit there.

Not so much a trade counter, more an 'order over the phone and collect from the warehouse when I'm in the area' type arrangement. As I go to or pass through Wycombe two or three times a week it works for me. The guys there are always good for repair tips as well!
