dc37 cycles on and off but not working
« on: September 12, 2020, 10:13:56 pm »
Hello I'm a new users and wanted some advice.  Yesterday, my dc37 stopped working.  When I press the power button, the machine turns off and on repeatedly for a split second.  Can someone give me some advice on what the problem could be?
Thanks

No direct experience with the 37, but if any other vac i would suspect main switch or motor brushes worn.

Try again but when it goes off, give the main body a slap - either of the above two issues could cause motor to restart / stop.
Also try pushing main switch and holding down, if it continues then switch could be at fault.
Difficult to diagnose through a web page.
The only way to fail is not to try.

When you say "on and off repeatedly", you mean its stopping and starting on its own? Or do you mean it tries to power up and then stops?
