This slides down into the cone assembly

Red gasket goes on now

ila_rendered

Then sandwich it all together

ila_rendered

ila_rendered

Now, put this all in the top shell and fit the screws holding this part in

ila_rendered

Then fit the inner black part, pushing it fully home

ila_rendered

Then fit and screw the outer cyclone part down

ila_rendered

Clip the shroud back on

ila_rendered

Then fit the bin seal

ila_rendered

Then snap the whole thing onto the motor housing

Next is the tool entry port.

Refitting the seal

ila_rendered

Seems the flap just pops out, I'm refitting it so must have removed it!

ila_rendered

Push the loom through from the front

ila_rendered

Then wrap the loom around the bin, fitting the contacts

ila_rendered

Then snap the cover on. Route all the cables

ila_rendered

Then hope to heck everything lines up and the front snaps onto the bin...

ila_rendered

Then push the connector in

ila_rendered.

Rubber up the bin flap

The bin flap can now snap on

ila_rendered

And be fitted to the machine. Filter next

ila_rendered

Which came up very well as they usually do

ila_rendered

Drop it in

ila_rendered

And one rebuilt Dyson V6

ila_rendered

Rebuild whatever you stripped from the dock

Check it all still works

And these very photos sold it for £120 (back in 2018...)

Throughout all of this you may have noticed the lack of wand. Fully sealed up, I've tried and failed/given up before. Wipe down externally is all it needs.

Also, the above is a full stripdown. For a general refurb, unclip the cyclone assembly from the motor housing and just strip that and the floor head. Wipe down everything else and leave it whole, unless you've got a reason to be in there...

Hope this helps someone! Being such a common machine hopefully people will chip in with alternate ways of doing things, as everyone will have their process. I have mine now!
