DC40 erp upper duct part #921269-02 availability
« on: November 07, 2020, 04:17:06 pm »
Hi

I have a DC40 which has developed cracks/splits in the upper duct body. This part number appears to be #921269-01 for all DC40's except the ErP versions. Having determined that I have an ErP model, as far as I can tell I need part #921269-02. I've searched high and low, in vain, for a supplier of this part without success.

Can I please ask the following:
Has anyone else encountered the same issue?
What's the difference in the parts i.e can the '01' be modded?
Does anyone know of a supplier for 921269-02

Thanks

Hi.

Try searching for Dyson DC40 chassis. There was no difference in the chassis design between the 1st gen and ERP, all the action happened in the motor and floorhead.

Looked on ebay? Should be a few used, or Mvacs might have one

That's good to know as it puts a new and simpler (so it would seem) complexion on the problem. Thank you.
