Amtek 7/97 today
« on: November 17, 2020, 06:23:27 pm »
Did I find you or did you find me ?  :tiphat:
Dunno...some year ago I looked for info after having bought my first DC01 and bought some spares from MVacs
Before that I bought a DC08 new in 2003, it being the first mainstream Dyson being sold widely in Holland. still have this heir and 5 other DC08 as spares...
Collected at random 2 DC01’s, a DC04 and a DC07, the uprights that are partially still in daily use in this carpeted house. A DC26 was added too.
The reason for window dressing this profile is the arrival of a brand new Amtek DC01 motor today. Dated 07/97.  ‘Nice to have’ for just in case..
That’s all... :underchair:
It all started with a new DC08 in 2003.
Since 2 years I added DC01's DC02's DC04?s DC05?s  DC07 DC08's DC14 DC15 DC18, DC22, DC 23, DC26 and a DC33.

Welcome.  :tiphat:

Where did you find a new Ametek motor?

You know some of the DC01s had a different motor in?

Thanks, feel at home already !
how can you not now?
I read most there is to read on all forums old and new, so yes I also know there is an YDK.
The 2 early DC01 I bought in NL from people who lived in UK or and brought them with them to NL
Which proper Brit wants to live in Holland anyway ? ;D
The motor I bought off a Belgium lady who’s deceased husband never made it to repair de DC01 . The DC01 went into the skip, the motor was kept and put on a local Belgium sales site.
Since I am into Italian stuff on 4 wheels too, I love the idea the Dyson got an Italian heart pumping just air...
Wanted to post some pics yesterday but failed due to size limitations and it’s ages since I posted on forums like this a was able to shrink jpeg files....

I used to spend a lot of time in Holland. Mostly in Scheveningen and Den Haag (like shopping on the Noordeinde) but Delft and other places too.  :icon_nod:

Well if you spent  all this time in Holland you Will have no difficulty spelling and pronouncing De Stijl in the correct way
The colorscheme of these Dyson have got little to do with the Art moviment btw.. :reading:
They are rare and funky but i wouldnot buy one because of it being pleasing to the eye  ;D
The Hague is stil our Court City with a good mix of upmarket shops and facilities..
Hopefully we can travel again like we used to next year...fingers crossed
