red latch to release hose
« on: January 04, 2021, 05:56:59 PM »
Hi

Dyson DC41 model

I can't seem to release the red latch to remove the hose even though I know I've done this once before. The hose refuses to come out when I lift the red tab to release it. I'm worried that I've somehow broken the latch. Has anyone else found this all answers welcome.

Mick

They can be stiff when they get jammed with muck.

Any idea as to how to clean it? Greatly appreciate your help.

Our chap says: bung some WD40 or similar round the sides, leave overnight. Then depress the clip and remove with brute force if still stuck.

I'll try a little bit of WD40, thanks.
