My sebo x4 check roller light came on and was hard to push. After reading online about this problem I brought a sebo roller brush and replaced it. The Hoover is now easier to push and it does rise up and down ok but the check roller light still comes on after a few seconds. The hoover works fine even when the red light is on. Is there something else I need to check

Sounds like the main PCB is faulty or wants resetting. Resetting it needs to be done using the tool and a specific process.

Does the light go off on tiles or laminate? Or if lifted off the floor or stood upright?

Thank you for replying back to me. The light comes on on after a few seconds and will stay on when on carpet and the laminate floor. It only goes off when it’s stood upright. Then when you start hoovering again the light comes back on again after few seconds

Our chap seems to think that's most likely a main PCB fault and it won't reset for that light. Belt sensor unit is the next possibility. It's impossible to know which without trying one.

Ok thank you. When the red light came on it was very hard to push but after replacing the brush roller it now works absolutely fine except for the red light still being on. What could happen if I’m using it with the red light on even thou it’s working fine without any issues
