Dyson V7 Motorhead - Blue Light on but Motorhead not turning?

Hello,

I've got a Dyson V7 Motorhead Plus - the motorised brush doesn't seem to be working. It doesn't matter if it's with or without the wand - the blue light comes on by the battery, but the motorhead doesn't power up (nor does the vacuum itself, with the head attached). With a non-motorised attachment, it works fine, with or without the wand.

Is it likely that I'll need a new motorhead, or is there anything else I should check before going ahead and buying a replacement one? Just found it a bit odd that the light remained solid blue with the motorhead attached, rather than red, despite the vacuum not powering up at all.

That may not be the head, it could be a fault in the body or with the outputs somewhere.

Don't buy parts on spec. In this case, I'd suggest take or send it to a repair shop. It wants testing properly to diagnose.
