How Important Is This Clip on The V6 Fluffy Head Please?..

Hi,
I got a second hand V6 Total Clean, it came with a fluffy head which I want to sell to off set what I paid for the whole lot. But when I was cleaning it I found this white clip has split. It doesn't look important, or that it even does anything really. I just want to know if I can just put some tape on it, or just leave it as it is?.. I asked Dyson, but I don't know if they want to help seeing as it's second hand.

Its only a dust cover.

Put a little blob of glue on it if you're concerned.

Thanks. Not concerned but I want to sell it and it looks a bit bad. I just stuck a bit of gaffer tape on it. Tried superglue but it wasn't strong enough to handle being stretched back onto where it needs to go; and couldn't glue it in place coz the gap is too wide.
