Hi all
Looking for some advice.
Had both bearings seized my v8's motorhead brush. Cleaned out the rust and oiled and was working well. Not 100%, a little notchy but wasnt sure if it was like that before.
After a little bit of no use it stuck again. Checked it and it seems the bottom free wheeling bearing is actually ok but the top one attached to the motor spindle has rusted up again.
So attempting it again but want to try grease as I should have.
I am looking for a more permanent fix so that I can actually sell this confidently later. So the best bet seems to be me looking at replacing the bearing. Has anyone done this? It looks very tight, so I doubt it'll pull out without things going wrong. Taking of the motor seems a pain as I've read on another thread that there are gears.
What would be the best way if regreasing isn't going to cut it?
