DYSON DC50 not reclining/laying flat

Hi there,

Seems to be the opposite of most owner's issues. My DC50 will not click down into laying flat!

It has no issue staying up...I have checked the ball for obvious obstructions, any ideas?

Just fixed this...

It appears the white cog in the ball "jumped" over the dark plastic corner, preventing it from fully reclining.
