I've seen one of these advertised cheap locally for spares/repair. It's very clean, but the fault is described as being with the body, not the hose. When the hose is plugged in, it cuts the main motor out. Normally I understand the issue is with the contacts and slip rings in the hose, but the owner has tried a new hose and the same fault occurs, so presumably it's with the socket on the main body, or the wiring to it.
Has anyone had a similar issue and is it an easy fix please? I've looked at Beko's stripdown video on the S500 and it looks like a very simple 3 pin plug socket, possibly just needs the contacts cleaning up or straightening?
