X1 height adjuster

The servo motor on my X1 isn't working. It's fixed in the high (brush lifted) position. Where are the magnets I should check? Are they listed on the parts diagram? Is there any way of powering the motor directly to check if it's working?
Thanks

Have you changed the brushroll? Thats always the first place to start. Especially if it has a white bristle one.

Thanks for the help.
I took the machine to bits and found the sensor magnet had come loose from it's holder and was sitting on top of the sensor!! So the machine constantly thought the handle was up. Glued the magnet back in place and all is well.
