Sebo X4

Hi
I just recently changed the roller on my machine as the warning light had been coming on and the machine sounded like it was about to cut out. The replacement roller worked a treat and the warning light went out but the machine still sounds like it is threatening to cut out( sometimes it does) there any no warning lights / no blockages , advice would be very welcome
Thankyou

Can you be more specific? What do you mean by "sounding like it was going to cut out"?

It’s an intermittent sound as if the power is going then it picks up again , but of a whirring sound

Wiggle the cable where it goes into the handle, see if it cuts out then.

Hi
Yes as soon as I wiggle the cable it cuts out but restarts immediately I stop , without the need to use the switch to turn it back on

Then your problem is break in the mains lead where it goes in to the handle, You can either take the handle top apart and replace whole lead or cut out at least 6 inches from the break site and rewire to the switch.
This is not for the fainthearted the one screw is a bolt and has a nut in the metal wand part SO DO NOT tilt the wand after removing the small bolt or the nut moves out of place and can be a nightmare to realign if your not used to taking the handle apart.
If in doubt the wand handle can be removed by moving the yellow/orange lever and pulling handle off.
Take or post handle wand to your preferred repair shop.

Hi thanks for advice ,

removed part of flex at the handle and it now doesn’t cut out.

Sadly this problem seems to have been masking another one!
It is still cutting out intermittently but it seems to be coming from where the upright meets the base unit , if that makes sense??

There is a cheap and cheerful fix for that problem, But if you use the vac a lot it may only last months rather than a permanent fix.
The problem is with the spade terminals on the top of head unit and the socket under the bag compartment.
you can do a quick fix by slightly twisting the two spade terminals and I mean only slightly.
put head and base units back together remember to slide yellow clip over to lock it.
This should fix it again for a period of time . Permanent fix you will need to replace Male /spade contact holder its not expensive.

Hey, thanks for the advice. No joy I’m afraid, looks like we need to replace the parts.
Can you advise the parts needed to replace the connections, please?
I expect we can purchase them from the MV Vacs site.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I expect you are looking to replace >this loom<. You'd know if the terminals look burned and degraded.
