I have been given a Dyson dC16 handheld but when you press the trigger a solid red light comes on with two other lights above. i read up on this and purchased a new battery but still no joy does anyone have any i dears where to check next i have cleaned the charging points with a piece of wire wool as there were corroded but as i say with new battery still will not work. the first time i tried it did run the motor briefly so at a stop now where to try next thank you

Have you tested the output on your charger?

Hi Thank you i have noticed when i put the unit into the charger it does not charge unless you wiggle it about to a certain position and then the charge light comes on so it may be a issue with the docking station,i have checked inside and nothing is broken so i am going to try a charger and see what happerns
