Brush control
« on: October 16, 2011, 11:48:55 am »
I have a DC07 All Floors (turquoise and silver).  I recently downloaded a manual for it and it appears I've always used mine with the brush control in the wrong position  :'(  Mine's always been in position 2 - Off.  I have stone and wood floors, so I'm not sure if this has been making a difference but it always seemes to have worked every so well   :))  Anyway, I now have carpet in one of the rooms, so need to use it in position 3 - ON, so that the brushes go round.  I've tried to get it into position 3 - ON and it just won't go.  Does it need some brute force?  I'm scared of breaking it   :o  It goes into position 1 - OFF (which I assume is what I should use it in for the stone and wood floors) very easily but refuses to go into position 3 - ON.  Can anyone help me, please   8)   Thank you.

There are two positions: On (clockwise) and off (anti clockwise). The third position is only achieved when the machine is reclined into the "use" position.

Turn it to the clockwise "auto" position. Turn it on. Recline it into cleaning position, and then flip it on its side in that position to see if the brush is spinning.
